QA Automation Engineer London - 2 days in the office Up to £60,000 plus benefits
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth technology environment where quality engineering plays a central role. You will help shape a modern test automation function, working with advanced tooling, AI-assisted approaches, and a microservices architecture to improve reliability, performance, and delivery speed.

The Role Develop and enhance automated test suites to reduce manual testing. Contribute to the delivery of a modern financial technology product in a scale-up setting. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA peers to ensure clarity, consistency, and testability of requirements. Use AI tools to accelerate test creation, debugging, and synthetic data generation. Plan, design, and execute testing across smoke, regression, functional, and performance areas. Create and maintain test documentation. Work within Agile squads, contributing to planning, estimation, and continuous improvement. Support the adoption and expansion of test automation across the wider QA community.
Your Skills and Experience You bring Strong commercial experience in QA automation using Java or Kotlin. Hands-on use of AI tools to enhance productivity. A deep understanding of OOP principles. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web architecture. Strong API testing capability using tools such as RestAssured, Feign, Swagger, or Postman. Experience writing UI tests with Selenium, Selenide, or Playwright. Familiarity with TestNG, JUnit, and SQL for data validation. Experience with monitoring and debugging tools such as Sentry or Elasticsearch. Understanding of performance testing concepts and tools like JMeter or Gatling. Experience using test management systems (for example TestRail) and project tools such as Jira and Confluence. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions. Experience working in an Agile, fast-paced environment, ideally with microservices.
