High Level Project Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Systems Engineer who specializes in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our container orchestration platforms, ensuring their optimal performance, scalability, and reliability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The candidate will also be a member of a larger VM administration and server administration team and will assist with managing and troubleshooting infrastructure issues related to server OS and virtualization platforms.

Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environments.Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and secure deployment practices.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the platform for high availability and resilience.Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of containerized applications.Develop and enforce policies and procedures for maintaining platform security, compliance, and best practices.Provide guidance and training to other engineers on container orchestration platforms and related technologies and develop related documentation.Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native architectures.Provide supplemental VMware vSphere support: deployment and configuration of ESXi hosts, storage and performance monitoring, and performing security updates.Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to issues with VM infrastructure and server OS tickets.
