The role focuses on ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of data across on-premises and internal cloud environments. Key Responsibilities * Design, implement, and maintain enterprise storage infrastructure including SAN, NAS, and object storage systems. * Manage and administer backup and recovery solutions to ensure reliable data protection and disaster recovery capabilities. * Monitor storage capacity, performance, and utilisation, and plan for future growth. * Configure and maintain backup policies, schedules, and retention strategies. * Perform regular backup verification, restore testing, and disaster recovery drills. * Troubleshoot storage and backup issues and provide root cause analysis. * Implement data lifecycle management, archiving, and replication strategies. * Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and regulatory requirements. * Collaborate with system administrators and application teams to support infrastructure needs. * Automate storage and backup operations using scripting or infrastructure automation tools. * Maintain documentation for storage architectures, backup procedures, and recovery processes. What we're looking for from you * Experience in enterprise storage and backup administration. * Strong experience with SAN, NAS, and storage virtualisation technologies. * Hands-on experience with backup solutions such as Veritas NetBackup, Veeam Backup & Replication, Cohesity. * Experience with storage platforms such as NetApp storage arrays, HPE storage solutions. * Knowledge of RAID, replication, snapshot, and deduplication technologies. * Experience with Linux and Windows server environments. * Understanding of disaster recovery planning and business continuity. * Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
