Overview Senior Project Data Analyst - Data Migration | High Wycombe (Hybrid / Remote) Here at Burns Sheehan, we're exclusively working with a large UK environment services business undergoing significant transformation. As part of this, they're investing heavily in their data and IT functions and are now looking to bring in a Senior Project Data Analyst to play a key role in their data migration team. This is a high-impact role focused on managing end-to-end migration processes from legacy and acquired systems into enterprise platforms - ensuring data is accurate, cleansed, and business-ready. What You'll Be Doing * Designing and implementing robust ETL processes for operational and commercial data migration * Working with SQL Server (SSMS, SSIS) and ETL tools such as Alteryx or Talend * Analysing, cleansing, and preparing large, complex datasets (customer accounts, schedules, depot and vehicle data, billing records) * Validating migrated data with business users to ensure accuracy ahead of go-live * Creating clear documentation for transformation logic, migration processes, and issue resolution * Contributing to best practices and standardisation of migration approaches across acquisitions and projects What They're Looking For * Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with ETL tools (SSMS, SSIS, Alteryx, Talend or similar) * Experience working with large, transactional and operational datasets from complex systems * Strong skills in data profiling, root cause analysis, and transformation * Industry experience in waste management, field services, or logistics would be a bonus but not essential This role would suit someone experienced in migration projects who enjoys solving complex data challenges, working cross-functionally, and ensuring business-critical systems are underpinned by reliable, accurate data.
