Software Test Engineers

We are looking for a Software Test Engineers to work alongside the SQL Development and MI development teams playing a pivotal in driving automated test processes across a number of bespoke applications.

Working closely with other test-focused individuals and developers, the successful individuals will devise test strategies, own test plans and approaches, provide oversight and provide guidance to others to define testable system components and support and/or assist in the implementation of automated testing.

The role will focus on Unit, Integration and Automated UI testing, considering test data sets, data generation and data anonymization., Reporting to the automation Test Team Leader your responsibility will include;

*Working alongside developers to guide and assist in the implementation of coded tests (unit, integration and automated UI)

*Assisting in the implementation of coded tests

*Collaborating with business and business analysts to elicit functional and non-functional requirements

*Creation of test plans and test cases focused around automation tools

*Investigation, maintenance and use of Continuous Integration tools to ensure quality

*Producing documentation

*Maintaining Source Control

*Contributing towards the overall development and testing strategy to deliver high quality applications

*Supporting User acceptance testing

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Essential:

o C#.net and Object-Oriented Programming and Design or Strong T-SQL Skills and Experience of SSIS

o Familiarisation of unit testing

o Use of Continuous Integration tools

o Automation UI frameworks (Web driver, Selenium or other)

o Use of source control repository, ideally TFS

o Prior experience of application test automation

• Desirable

o Development experience/aspirations

o Experience of developing enterprise-level applications.

o Scrum or other Agile methodology

o Database Unit Testing project

o JavaScript testing frameworks

o Service Oriented Architecture development experience

o TeamCity

o Octopus Deploy, * Strong communication skills across test and development teams
