Job description

An essential role in the department, ensuring that all IT systems are fit for purpose and working to specified business requirements., A mixture of 3rd party ERP software and cutting edge systems built in house, ranging from Mobile Apps to Virtual Reality. The successful candidate will need to effectively manage workloads to strict deadlines and ensure that new systems are usable and free of critical and major defects, whilst helping in maintaining the overall quality of the code base. They will also need to be able to document systems and to direct\ advise others in the testing required in large projects., The role of the Test Analyst is primarily the testing of the systems created\updated as part of the development life cycle. To generate documentation where appropriate for various departments and contribute to maintaining Testing scripts as and when required.

Requirements

Experience of testing web, mobile\ tablet and design applications

  • Iterative software development awareness
  • Agile Testing Methodology awareness
  • Effective communication of testing plans\ progress, both verbally and in writing
  • Capability to develop strong working relationships both internal and external
  • Analysis of information to identify problems and issues, making effective decisions
  • Ability to plan and organise workload efficiently, working to strict deadlines
  • Experience of ticketing systems (JIRA specifically beneficial)

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS (Non essential)

  • ISEB Certified Software Tester (Foundation)
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS and PHP
  • Knowledge of Automated Testing and Automation tools
