Job description

This is a client-facing role sitting at the intersection of our approach across advisory and delivery.

The role is split across two core areas:

  • Supporting clients with data strategy, data architecture, data migration and data-led transformation programmes
  • Helping SmartCo build and mature its internal data capability, including reporting, dashboards and insight across core platforms (CMAP, Sage Intacct, Pipedrive)

In parallel, this role will play a key part in shaping and delivering SmartCo's emerging AI offering, supporting clients in getting ready for AI, implementing practical use cases, and embedding AI into business processes.

This is a hands-on consulting role. You will work directly with clients on programmes and projects, while also contributing to SmartCo's internal growth and capability development., Client Delivery (Data)

  • Deliver data workstreams across transformation programmes (ERP, finance, operational change)
  • Support data strategy definition, including governance, ownership, quality and lifecycle
  • Lead or contribute to data migration activities (planning, mapping, cleansing, validation)
  • Define and implement data models, structures and reporting frameworks
  • Work with client stakeholders to improve data quality, visibility and decision-makin

Client Delivery (AI)

  • Support clients in understanding and preparing for AI adoption (readiness assessments, use case identification)
  • Translate business problems into practical AI-enabled solutions
  • Support implementation of AI use cases (e.g. automation, copilots, insight generation)
  • Work with client teams to embed AI into existing processes and systems
  • Help shape AI roadmaps aligned to business value rather than hype

Internal SmartCo Data & Insight

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting across SmartCo systems (CMAP, Sage, Pipedrive)
  • Create clear, actionable insight for leadership (sales performance, delivery, utilisation, margin)
  • Improve data consistency and structure across internal systems
  • Support the creation of a "single view" of SmartCo performance across sales and delivery
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve internal efficiency

Practice Development

  • Contribute to SmartCo's Data & AI propositions and go-to-market offerings
  • Support development of repeatable assets (templates, frameworks, accelerators)
  • Work with sales and leadership on proposals and client conversations
  • Stay current on emerging data and AI trends and translate them into practical offerings

Requirements

  • Experience working in a consulting or client-facing delivery role
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business and technology
  • Ability to operate across both strategy and hands-on delivery
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced programme environments

Data Experience

  • Experience in data migration, data transformation or data architecture
  • Strong understanding of data structures, data quality and governance
  • Experience working with ERP or enterprise platforms (e.g. D365, SAP, Oracle)
  • Ability to work with reporting and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI or similar)
  • Experience working across multiple data sources and integrating them

AI Exposure

  • Practical understanding of AI concepts and applications in a business context
  • Experience supporting or delivering AI use cases (e.g. automation, analytics, copilots)
  • Ability to bridge technical AI capabilities with business value
  • Interest in emerging tools and platforms (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, automation platforms)

Technical Capability (Desirable, not essential)

  • SQL or equivalent data querying capability
  • Experience with data pipelines or integration tools
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Exposure to APIs and system integrations

Benefits & conditions

  • Competitive base salary + performance-based bonus
  • Fully flexible working arrangements with West London office access
  • Enhanced holiday allowance
  • 100% employer-funded private healthcare
  • Life assurance & Employee Assistance Programme
  • Pension
  • Mobile phone allowance
  • Bi-annual eye tests
  • Ongoing investment in personal and professional development
