Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Django
- Build and improve user-facing functionality with React and TypeScript
- Develop and operate services hosted on AWS
- Work with relational databases, primarily PostgreSQL
- Contribute to containerised development and deployment workflows
- Collaborate through Git, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
- Support a strong testing culture and high standards of code quality
- Build software that balances regulatory, security, and usability needs in healthcare
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python
- Experience with JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience building frontend applications with React
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Hands-on experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience using Git in a collaborative team environment
- Experience working with containerised applications (e.g. Docker), * Experience with Django
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL
- Automated testing experience (e.g. Pytest or frontend testing)
- CI/CD experience, particularly with GitHub Actions
- End-to-end testing tools such as Playwright
- Experience supporting or operating production systems in AWS

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our engineering team and help develop reliable, secure, cloud-based products that make a real difference in healthcare.
As a Software Engineer at Radar Healthcare, you'll work across the stack, developing backend services in Python and modern frontend applications in React. You'll help evolve a cloud-hosted platform running on Amazon Web Services (AWS), with a strong focus on maintainability, quality, and pragmatic engineering.
