Job description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Network and Security Systems Technician to join our growing technical team. The role will focus on configuration and support of network infrastructure and integrated security systems across our product range and client sites.
You will play a key role in ensuring reliable connectivity and performance and both on-site and remote systems, supporting our cutting-edge surveillance technology., * Configure, install, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and VLANs
- Support and troubleshoot mixed WAN/LAN environments across on-site and off-site deployments
- Work with 4G/5G network solutions to ensure reliable remote connectivity
- Install, configure, and maintain IP-based security systems including CCTV cameras and NVRs
- Diagnose and resolve network and system issues both remotely and on-site
- Carry out occasional site visits to client locations for installation, maintenance, and support
- Document configurations, processes, and daily activities accurately
- Manage and prioritise workload effectively to meet business and client needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of systems
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in WAN?, * Proven experience in networking (commercial or enterprise environments)
- Strong knowledge of routers, switches, and VLAN configuration
- Experience working with WAN/LAN infrastructure in mixed environments (on-site and remote)
- Understanding of 4G networking and remote connectivity solutions
- Experience with IP-based security systems, including CCTV cameras and NVRs
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to document and manage daily workflows
- Full UK driving licence (for site visits)
Desirable Skills (Training Provided):
- Experience with brands such as Hikvision, Teltonika, and Peplink
- Familiarity with hybrid/cloud-managed network environments
- Experience working with AI-enabled or smart surveillance systems
- Knowledge of renewable or off-grid power systems (advantageous but not essential), * Networking: 1 year (preferred)
- IP based security systems: 1 year (preferred)
- CCTV : 1 year (preferred)
- WAN/LAN Infrastructure: 1 year (preferred)
