Job description
We are looking for a Design System Manager to help shape, scale and drive the adoption of our design system across our digital products.
You will work closely with Digital Experience Leads, Product teams, and Frontend teams to ensure the design system supports both web and native mobile platforms while enabling teams to build consistent, scalable and high-quality experiences.
This role sits at the intersection of design, product and engineering, and requires strong experience with design systems, product thinking, and design-development collaboration., * Define and communicate the purpose and scope of the design system
- Ensure it serves product teams and squads, not just designers
- Track success metrics such as adoption, reuse and contribution
Act as the bridge between product squads and the platform
- Translate product squad needs into scalable design system capabilities
- Decide what becomes a shared component vs what remains local
- Ensure alignment between design, product and engineering constraints
Manage the Design System as a product
- Maintain and prioritize the Design System backlog
- Balance new components, improvements, technical debt and adoption
- Ensure squads are unblocked and able to ship efficiently
Drive adoption across the organisation
- Monitor usage and identify duplication across teams
- Lead migrations, deprecations and improvements
- Ensure the design system is easier to use than to bypass, * Explore and implement AI-assisted workflows to improve productivity (documentation generation, accessibility checks, token suggestions, spec-to-code pipelines, etc.)
- Evaluate emerging AI tools for design and development collaboration
- Define guidelines for responsible AI usage within the design system team
- Prototype and test new workflows before scaling them
Requirements
- Strong experience working with Design Systems at scale
- Solid understanding of design-to-development workflows
- Experience with tokens, component libraries, patterns and documentation
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, frameworks)
- Experience collaborating closely with design and engineering teams
- Comfortable managing roadmaps, backlogs and priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, * Fluent / professional English is required
- Spanish is a strong plus
