  • Experience in using Service-Now to create changes and CTASK, updates statuses and close down changes on completion.
  • Proactively monitoring Service-now for alerts, incidents and tasks, corresponding and communicating with third-party vendors and internal clients
  • Create rack elevation plans and patching schematics using excel and Visio for copper and fibre connectivity.
  • Patching, racking and stacking for installs, following internal best practices & IMAC process.
  • Installation and testing of physical patching to equipment, dressing down and labelling cables.
  • Material control, maintain records of deliveries, storage and update ticketing systems.
  • Daily housekeeping checks, reporting on noncompliance issues, hardware alerts and tracking until remediated.
  • Managing access control process for the datacentre, raising requests tickets for authorised approval.
  • A Pro-active approach is required for this role, to continuously improve services and processes.

Requirements

  • Excellent Microsoft skills, Excel, Word, Outlook & Teams
  • Basic hardware support not just limited to manual power cycling of devices as well as replacing any hot swappable components on request
  • Emergency call out requires attendance at DC within 1 hour maybe.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence.
  • A flexible approach is a must: Predominately working week days 9 - 5 in London but would be required to cover project work after 19:00 on week days and at weekends when necessary, occasionally would be a requirement to cover workloads at the customers second active datacentre centre in Singapore
  • Knowledgeable in technical project requirements to give guidance of physical provisioning, power, cooling and logical network connectivity.
  • Must have strong experience of IT infrastructure working in an in-house or COLO datacentre., Mandatory Skills: Network Data Admin .
