Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Systems Engineer to lead and support our organisation's IT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for server, virtualisation management, patching, lifecycle management, network support, backup and recovery and contribution to ISO 27001 controls and audits. You'll be required to participate in a planned monthly patching window, which includes up to one weekend day per month., * Infrastructure ownership

Essential Skills
- Windows Server environments (physical and virtual) and SQL Server
- Virtualised environments
- Proxmox and VMware
- Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, file services and authentication
- Lifecycle management including upgrades and decommissioning
- Microsoft 365, Azure AD (Entra ID) and Intune
- Identity, access controls and conditional access policies
- LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, switching infrastructure
- Troubleshooting
- Audit preparation
- PowerShell or similar scripting tools
Requirements
- Fortigate
- Linux and Ansible knowledge
- Vunerability management tooling exposure
- Scripting and automation experience - PowerShell preferred
- Ability to be security cleared (likely needing to have lived and worked in the UK for at least 5 years)
