Job description
This is a mid to senior-level Business Development role, suited to someone who already understands how a Managed Service Provider operates, how IT services are sold, and how long-term client partnerships are built.
You will be responsible for new business acquisition, targeting organisations that require fully managed IT services, cyber security solutions or cloud transformation support. You will own the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting through to close and transition into service delivery.
You will work closely with our technical leadership, pre-sales and delivery teams to ensure solutions are technically sound, commercially viable and aligned to customer outcomes., Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities for:
- Managed IT Services (MSP)
- Cyber Security services and solutions
- Cloud, Microsoft and infrastructure projects
- Build and maintain a high-quality new business sales pipeline, with clear forecasting and reporting
Proactively generate opportunities through:
- Targeted outbound activity (phone, email, LinkedIn)
- Networking, referrals and industry events
- Existing professional and partner relationships
Lead the end-to-end sales process, including:
- Initial discovery and qualification
- Solution shaping with technical teams
- Proposal presentation and commercial negotiation
- Contract close and handover to service teams
- Clearly articulate the value of managed services and proactive cyber security to business decision-makers
- Maintain accurate CRM records and contribute to sales reporting and planning
- Consistently achieve agreed revenue, pipeline and activity targets
- Stay informed on industry trends, cyber security risks and competitor offerings
Requirements
Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong IT Services / MSP background to drive new business and help expand our client portfolio., * Proven experience in a Business Development or Sales role within an IT Services / MSP environment
Strong understanding of:

Cyber Security services (e.g. managed security, risk, resilience, compliance-driven security)

Cloud and modern workplace solutions

Demonstrated ability to sell recurring service contracts, not just one-off projects

Confident and credible when engaging with senior stakeholders and business owners

Excellent communication, presentation and commercial negotiation skills

Self-driven, professional and comfortable operating with autonomy

Strong pipeline management and forecasting discipline

Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites and events

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
