As a Salesforce Administrator at Guide Dogs, you'll own and support our Salesforce platform, making sure it runs smoothly and enables colleagues to deliver vital services to people with sight loss. You'll play a key role in maintaining trusted data, improving processes and supporting our digital transformation. The Salesforce Administrator will be an expert in Salesforce administration, CRM data management, reporting, user support and process automation. Our Salesforce Administrators play a huge part in ensuring everything we do enables us to deliver on our purpose and exceed expectations.
You'll be working 35 hours per week, worked 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. This role is predominantly home based with occasional attendance at a Guide Dogs office and travel to our National Breeding Centre in Leamington., * Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce environment with 1500+ users.
- Manage the Salesforce helpdesk functions.
- Handle administrative functions including user maintenance, modification of page layouts, generation of reports and dashboards, creation of new fields and other routine tasks.
- Automate processes using Salesforce tools such as process builder, approval processes, validation rules.
- Work on less complex Salesforce integrations - those not handled by a Salesforce Developer or Consultant/Partner.
- Train new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organisation.
- Document customisations made in Salesforce.
- Plan ahead for upgrades, seasonal releases and long-term projects.
- Managing agreed system and development standards.

Skills and Competencies
- Salesforce Admin (ADM201 or ADM211) certified.
- Demonstratable experience as a Salesforce administrator.
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce architecture, features, and functionalities.
- Understanding of Salesforce data structures, import/export tools (e.g., Data Loader, Data Import Wizard), and data hygiene best practices. Expertise in creating and managing custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making.
- Awareness of best practices for customisation, integration, and user adoption to maximise platform value.
- Ability to educate and support users, create training materials, and troubleshoot platform issues effectively.
