Senior Backend Engineer

As a Senior backend Engineer on our "Core" team, you'll play a key role in a unit with a broad scope, building core data and capabilities for multiple Product teams.

Team's focus areas will include:

• Administrating and providing core data models to the different bsport teams (staff management, user namespaces, enterprise segmentation...)
• Leading the implementation of our new "API as a Service" offering.
• Provide and maintain core capabilities to other bsport teams like Authentication, our Permission system or a way for large franchise to administrate their studios.
• Manage our Buyables offering notably:

• our subscription system.
• pass architecture (credit system)
• all our retails solution.

What will be your impact.

As a Senior backend Engineer you will:

• Work hand in hand with the CTO.
• Architect robust systems to deliver a wide range of customizable offerings for our members on our mobile apps and web interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with key bsport business units to implement new products.
• Be part our cross-team Backend & DevOps "squad", providing innovative solutions and improvements to our stack (Grafana, Kibana, PostgreSQL, AWS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Django, Django Rest Framework), advocating for best practices in observability, monitoring, and alerting to ensure systems run at peak efficiency.

• AWS
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Helm
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker
• Monitoring: Grafana, ELK stack
• Backend: Python Django, FastAPI, Celery
• Frontend: React, TypeScript (mono-repos, module federation)
• Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka
• CI/CD: GitLab CI, ArgoCD.

• You have substantial experience in any current Object-Oriented backend language (familiarity with Python and Django is a plus)
• You take ownership and pride in building exceptional products.
• You're detail-oriented, organized, and an effective communicator.
• You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and enjoy being challenged.
• You are professionally proficient in English.
