Job description
The Release Manager oversees the coordination and governance of application releases across a multi-cloud environment, including applications based on .NET and AWS Cloud. This role ensures deployments are aligned, version-compatible, and follow a clear, structured process across environments such as SIT and UAT. The RM acts as the central point of contact between stream leads, business analysts, QA teams, developers, and clients, ensuring smooth and predictable release cycles. The role requires proficiency with the Atlassian platform, especially Bitbucket/Git, and expertise in release processes., * Maintain a clear overview of what is deployed in each environment (SIT, UAT).
- Ensure compatible versions of all components, including .NET code, are deployed together.
- Approve and merge Pull Requests in Bitbucket relating to .NET/AWS applications.
- Facilitate and document Go/No Go sessions for releases.
- Coordinate with stream leads, BAs, QAs, test managers, other release managers, developers, and business stakeholders to manage dependencies and timelines.
- Ensure adherence to defined release and change management processes using Jira and IT change management practices to verify release readiness and deployment integrity.
- Provide visibility and reporting on release status, risks, and issues using Atlassian tools.
- Oversee CI/CD pipeline execution for deployments, ensuring automated and controlled delivery processes., * Works within a cross-functional team including stream leads, BAs, QAs, test managers, developers, and external client stakeholders.
- Team size varies depending on project phase; typically 5-10 active collaborators per release.
- While technical tasks such as deployments and PR validations are performed by stream leads and developers, the Release Manager is responsible for coordinating, approving, and ensuring compliance with processes.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of .NET and AWS Cloud, including related development lifecycle and deployment tools.
- Proficiency with Atlassian platform tools, specifically Bitbucket/Git for version control and pull request management.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Jira for release and test management tracking.
- Understanding of IT change management processes linked to release governance.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with business, test managers, other release managers, and development teams.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage complex release schedules and cross-team coordination.
- Proactive stakeholder engagement and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience:
- Prior experience in release management or similar coordination roles, particularly within .NET, AWS or multi-cloud environments.
- Experience working with cross-functional agile teams.
