Job description

The Quality and Applications Engineer will take ownership of the site's quality, environmental, and health & safety management systems while also supporting bespoke product modifications using 3D CAD tools.

As Quality and Applications Engineer, you'll lead audits, manage APQP and PPAP activities, oversee calibration and SPC, resolve customer concerns through 8D investigations, and drive continuous improvement projects across the manufacturing site.

The Quality and Applications Engineer will also act as the technical point of contact for customers, suppliers, operations, and international engineering teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to exact technical specifications.

Requirements

  • Experience in quality engineering within manufacturing
  • ISO9001 and ISO14001 systems expertise
  • Engineering qualification (HNC/HND or degree)
  • SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD knowledge
  • APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA experience
  • Lean Six Sigma / continuous improvement tools
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
  • Practical, hands-on engineering mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Benefits & conditions

Working Hours: Full-time | Permanent | Day shift | 37.5 hours per week, Pension, bonus scheme, free parking, life assurance, volunteer days, and social events, Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
