Job description

The Operations Systems & Data Analyst plays a critical role within the Operations department, acting as the central liaison between Operations leadership, Data Entry, Baseline and the Tech Teams. This role is responsible for owning and improving key system-configuration, data-structure, and reporting processes within UCBZeroWaste's proprietary platform (W.A.T.E.R.). The role focuses on understanding current processes, identifying opportunities to improve or automate existing workflows, and clearly communicating those needs to our external development partner., * Set up and maintain vendors, materials, and related configurations within the W.A.T.E.R. system to ensure accurate data capture and reporting.

  • Ensure prospect and client data is accurately entered, structured, and validated xacross systems, maintaining high data quality standards.
  • Support the baseline creation process by organizing, mapping, and processing historical client data to produce accurate and timely baseline outputs.
  • Maintain and enhance operational trackers, validation sheets, and baseline workbooks using Excel.

Requirements

  • Experience working within proprietary systems or databases, including configuring records, validating data structures, and maintaining data integrity.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to review data, spot inconsistencies, and understand how information flows from one process or team to another.
  • Natural problem-solver who enjoys improving how things work - able to pause, think through a process, and suggest clearer or more efficient ways to do it.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain data, systems, and process concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, non-routine environment, where priorities may change and the day may include both detailed work and creative thinking.
  • High level of learning mindset and adaptability - open to feedback, eager to learn new systems, and motivated to grow within the role and the company.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and reconciliation.
  • With reliable primary and back up tools
