Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Power BI Developer to join one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes, Hinkley Point C. This is a long-term opportunity to work on a multi-billion-pound nuclear project, supporting how data is used to drive performance, governance, and strategic decision-making across the programme.
This is not a standard reporting role. You will be operating within a complex, enterprise-scale environment where your work will directly influence how a major project is controlled and delivered.
The Opportunity As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality dashboards, reports, and semantic models that support both operational and strategic functions across the programme. You will work closely with stakeholders across technical and business teams, ensuring data solutions are aligned with governance frameworks and enterprise standards.
This role offers long-term stability on a 10+ year programme, along with exposure to a highly structured and mature data environment., * Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models
- Build and optimise data models (fact/dimension, star schema)
- Improve performance and scalability of Power BI solutions
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting and data requirements
- Ensure alignment with governance frameworks, security standards, and best practices
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the programme's data and reporting capability
- Support optimisation of existing reports and datasets
Requirements
- Strong experience developing Power BI dashboards and enterprise-level reporting solutions
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, data modelling, and performance optimisation
- Experience working with large, complex data environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working on infrastructure, energy, or large capital projects is advantageous
