At Knovia, you'll play a pivotal role in building a modern integration and automation capability that underpins AI, analytics, and operational excellence across the organisation. As we continue to modernise our technology landscape, we're looking for an experienced Integration & Automation Specialist to design and deliver connected, intelligent, end-to-end business processes. This is a high-impact role, central to how data flows across Knovia-enabling real-time operations, streamlined workflows, and an AI-ready architecture. - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance middleware solutions
- Build integrations using Workato, APIs, webhooks, and industry best-practice patterns
- Develop and manage APIs, message queues, event streams, and data transformation pipelines
Intelligent Automation
- Deliver automated workflows that modernise end-to-end processes across operations, finance, compliance, commercial, and learner services
- Translate business requirements into rule-based, event-driven, and AI-enabled workflows
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines for integration assets, including automated testing and rollback
- Implement automated monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks using cloud-native or equivalent tooling
Data Flow & Platform Enablement
- Own and continuously improve the integration platform, ensuring scalability, stability, and security
- Design event-driven architectures to support real-time operational insight
- Evaluate and recommend integration tools and SaaS connectors aligned to enterprise strategy
- Manage platform SLAs, capacity planning, licensing, and vendor relationships
Governance, Quality & Security
- Establish integration standards, governance frameworks, and best practice
- Implement robust logging, monitoring, and exception-handling processes
- Ensure GDPR compliance and alignment with internal data governance policies
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with operational and technical leaders to identify and prioritise automation opportunities

Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience delivering integrations or automation in a cloud environment
- Hands-on experience with Workato or similar platforms (e.g. MuleSoft, Boomi, Power Automate, Zapier)
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth, JSON, and webhook patterns
- Experience integrating CRM, ERP, HRIS, LMS, finance, and bespoke systems
- Familiarity with middleware patterns and event-driven architecture
- Strong end-to-end systems thinking with a focus on scalability and maintainability
- Confidence working with low-code platforms alongside scripting where required
Benefits & conditions
Salary: Up to £60,000 (dependent on experience) Hours: 36.5 hours a week (Monday - Friday) You will lead the design, development, and evolution of system integrations and automated workflows using Workato and other middleware technologies. Working across a diverse technology estate, you'll enhance interoperability between CRM, LMS, ERP, HRIS, finance platforms, and bespoke systems. This role combines hands-on delivery with architectural ownership, governance, and collaboration with senior stakeholders across the business.
