Job description
We are seeking a Linux/Web Systems and Infrastructure Specialist to join the Cloud Operations team (part of the wider Core IT Infrastructure team) to support and manage physical, virtual, and cloud-based services within a large and complex university environment, contributing to secure and reliable IT operations.
Requirements
You will have a degree in IT/Computing or equivalent experience, alongside experience in a customer-facing technical role and working across multiple priorities in a team environment. Experience with IT service management tools such as TopDesk is required. You will have strong knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu/Debian), Windows Server and web infrastructure, including nginx, DNS, DHCP and IP networking, with an understanding of security, DevOps practices and service resilience. You will be proactive, adaptable and committed to excellent customer service and inclusive working practices.
