Job description

Reporting to the Senior Software Developer, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving our bespoke internal systems. This is a hands-on position focused on fixing bugs, enhancing legacy applications, and supporting a range of ad-hoc development projects across multiple languages.

What you'll be doing:

  • Developing and maintaining features across legacy and modern systems (VB, C#, Python, PHP)
  • Troubleshooting bugs and supporting internal users
  • Carrying out data fixes and updates within MySQL
  • Testing code changes before review
  • Managing code via Gitea with clear documentation
  • Delivering fixes and projects within agreed timelines
  • Collaborating with teams across the business
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects, prototyping, and new tools

Requirements

  • Foundation in C# / .NET, with willingness to work in VB
  • Experience or familiarity with Python and MySQL
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical mindset
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Comfortable working independently and owning codebases
  • Degree or equivalent hands-on experience, * IT: 2 years (required)
  • Software development: 1 year (preferred)
