Job description
The Digital Delivery Coordinator is a specialist role responsible for supporting, managing, and coordinating Building Information Modelling (BIM) and wider digital delivery processes throughout the project lifecycle. You will act as the primary support to ensure that engineering teams maintain accurate, consistent, and standardised digital outputs across water sector projects, with a particular focus on wastewater.
Acting as a gatekeeper for model quality and information flow, you will oversee digital project delivery, support quality management, and maintain both internal and client standards as part of the organisation's digital strategy. Your work will drive efficiency, reduce project risk, and enable seamless collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
Model & Data Coordination
- Oversee the creation, development, and integration of 3D models across disciplines.
- Ensure Revit projects are correctly set up using approved templates, including point cloud alignment and shared coordinate systems.
- Ensure Plant3D projects are configured using BIMTek or client templates, adhering to symbol libraries and line type standards.
- Provide expert guidance on BIM tools including Revit, Plant3D, AutoCAD, BIM 360/ACC, and Forma (Revit 2025 as the current standard).
- Run and maintain Dynamo scripts to support project delivery and data transfer between Plant3D and Revit for asset management workflows.
Standards, Quality & Compliance
- Implement and monitor adherence to BIM Execution Plans (BEP), including model checklist standards, naming conventions, and file organisation.
- Support the Digital Lead and Document Control with template updates, version control, and software governance.
- Maintain internal and client digital standards, ensuring consistent application across all project stages.
- Checking of 3D models & 2D drawings SHE boxes / hazard triangles align with the companies BIM execution plan, which forms part of CDM (Construction, Design & Management)
Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with client project managers, internal teams, and contractors to ensure all stakeholders have access to accurate up to date information using cloud based platforms such as BIM 360 / ACC / Forma
- Support the population and maintenance of internal SharePoint sites to ensure regular communication and updates.
- Assist with BIM-Tastic team training sessions every Wednesday, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and knowledge sharing.
- Support Associate Directors and the Digital Lead with R&D initiatives aligned to the business roadmap concerning anything digital.
Requirements
- A BIM related degree or relevant digital delivery qualification (civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, environmental, etc.).
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and cloud based collaboration platforms.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards, including ISO 19650.
- Experience with BIM modelling.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience in digital design, data driven asset management, and advanced modelling tools.
- Plant3D experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Coding knowledge (Python for Dynamo, C# for Revit tool development)
- Experience in advanced Revit parametric family modelling, including the management of project, global and shared parameters and associated tag creation.
