Job description
Senior Information Manager responsible for delivering the Appointing Party's Information Management role in compliance with ISO 19650 suite of standards & the UK BIM Framework and providing associated support to the business in respect of BIM-specific activities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Undertaking duties in compliance with the ISO19650 Assignment Matrix for the Appointing Party's Information Management role
- Assisting clients and project managers through the briefing stage in compiling of their Information Requirements
- Updating the project BIM Protocols in compliance with the ISO19650 suite of standards and the UK BIM Framework
- Configuring, and managing a Common Data Environment (Sharepoint, ACC, Aconex, 4P, Asite, Dalux, etc.)
- Detailed review and assessment of project information:
- Asset parameters within 3D models
- COBie outputs
- Model and information outputs at tender stage, practical completion, and handover
- BIM Execution Plans (BEP) produced by Lead Appointed Parties and Appointed Parties
- Information Delivery Plans (IDP) and Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDP)
- Responsibility Matrices
- Risk Registers
- Mobilization plans
- Undertaking compliance checks, audit tasks & quality assurance checks for asset data
- Verification (data exists and is in the correct format)
- Validation (data is fit to fulfil the specified function as per BS EN 17412-1)
- Advising Client teams on:
- Future model uses in relation to clients objectives for the project
- Risks associated with timely delivery of required asset data
- Implementation of Soft Landings
- Supporting Task Teams in the configuration of COBie outputs
- Assisting with preparation and delivery of training content around BIM. Providing mentoring and coaching
- Supporting digital handover of an Asset Information Model
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Servicing Projects
- Ensuring a high quality of service and deliverables
- Planning service delivery in conjunction with the Project Manager [JM1.1]with overall responsibility for the project
- Communicating and providing good sound professional advice to project team members
- Ensuring that information has been independently checked before issue, including maintaining evidence of independent checks

- Taking leadership of the day-to-day management of Project BIM / IM resources
- Advising Directors and Project Managers promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance

Requirements
- Sound relevant post membership experience incorporating delivery of Appointing Party's Information Management role in compliance with ISO19650 suite of standards and the UM BIM Framework. 5+ years' experience
- Responsibility of overseeing the work of junior team members
- Proficient use of BIM Interoperability Tools plugin for Revit:
o COBie manager o Classification manager o Model checker
- Ability to use Revit, Solibri and Navisworks Manage for auditing purposes
- Sound knowledge of:
o ISO19650 suite of standards o BS EN 17412-1 o UK BIM Framework guidance documents o Construction Playbook
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Methodical way of thinking and approach to work
- Great attention to detail
- Good organizational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments
- Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily
- Ability to work as part of a team
