Job description
We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing IT team, supporting a UK-wide healthcare environment. In this role, you will provide hands-on technical support and infrastructure expertise across multiple sites, ensuring clinical and operational teams have secure and reliable access to the systems they depend on every day.
You will work across a broad range of technologies including Windows environments, Microsoft 365, networking, and clinical systems, as well as contributing to IT projects such as upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
This is a varied, field-based role ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and making a direct impact on service delivery., * Deliver 1st and 2nd line IT support across multiple UK sites (remote and on-site)
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and end-user devices
- Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint technologies
- Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure including Wi-Fi, VPNs, firewalls, and switches
- Support clinical systems, including electronic patient record (EPR) platforms and integrated medical devices
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security controls in line with GDPR and cybersecurity standards
- Participate in IT projects including system upgrades, migrations, and rollouts
- Maintain accurate IT asset records and technical documentation
- Work closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure technology supports safe patient care
- Travel nationally as required to support business and project needs
You are a proactive and skilled IT professional with a strong background in 2nd line support or infrastructure engineering. You thrive in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and take pride in delivering excellent service to end users.
Requirements
- At least 2 years' experience in a 2nd line IT support or infrastructure role
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
- Experience with Active Directory, networking, and secure remote access solutions
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A customer-focused, calm, and solution-oriented approach
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
