Job description

Maintain and monitor all networks, security and computer systems to meet the Company`s current and future requirements.

To manage IT systems as a hands on role ensuring the maximum benefit is obtained from reliable, cost effective systems.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Management of approx. 8 server, 150 desktop PC's and terminals, printers, etc.
  • To develop and support current and new IT solutions across all business functions
  • Analysing infrastructure and identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Responding to Business requests by advising, developing & implementing solutions.
  • Ensuring network security
  • Authoring BI reports
  • Evaluating, planning and implementing IT Projects
  • Phone system maintenance and updates
  • To maintain the IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plan and ensure it is up to date and robust

DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY

  • Authorised to make recommendation's relating to IT Systems/procedures to advise managers on the course of action to take when dealing with IT issues.
  • Seek guidance from support partners or experts on contentious issues.

Requirements

  • BSC Computing & Information Technology or other relevant IT qualification
  • Familiarity with Databases and DBMS architecture
  • SQL query building
  • Active Directory / Azure account management
  • ERP operation, preferably Dynamics Nav / Business Central
  • SSRS / OLAP / Jet reports creation
  • Ability to maintain code in C/AL, AL or C++ advantageous, but not essential
  • Good understanding of MS Office
  • Previous experience in a similar role/environment
  • Conscientious and responsible
  • A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach
  • Planning and project management skills
  • An understanding and appreciation of other people's work disciplines
  • Excellent Communication skills.

Benefits & conditions

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
