Job description
As we grow, we're building a reliable, secure, and user-friendly IT environment that supports both office-based and remote teams. That's where you come in. We're looking for a hands-on IT Support Engineer to be the backbone of our day-to-day IT operations. You'll support a diverse group of users, from scientists running ML experiments to engineers shipping software, in a fast-moving scale-up environment. Guided by Qureight's vision, mission and values, and working within our regulated Quality Management System (QMS) environment, you'll be the go-to person for troubleshooting, device management, onboarding, and continuous improvement of our internal IT systems.
What you will do
- The IT Support Engineer will provide outstanding IT support across Qureight, including:
- Provide first- and second-line IT support for staff across office and remote environments
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding (accounts, hardware, access, permissions)
- Maintain and support MacOS laptops, WiFi, Conference Room System, and IT equipment.
- Administer core SaaS tools (e.g. Microsoft Office 365, Entra, Box, Slack, JIRA, Tailscale, Bitwarden
- Troubleshoot networking, connectivity, and hardware issues
- Support identity and access management, including Passkey, MFA and role-based access
- Research and onboard new software for other teams to use; own the software asset register and deploy and update new software packages.
- Work closely with security and engineering teams to maintain compliance and best practices under our regulated QMS environment
- Document processes, create internal help guides, and improve IT workflows
- Escalate complex issues to external vendors or internal specialists where needed.
Requirements
- Experience in an IT support, service desk, or systems support role
- Strong knowledge of MacOS secured with MDM solution (Mosyle preferred)
- Strong knowledge of securing O365
- Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS tools and identity management
- Comfortable supporting both technical and non-technical users
- Clear communicator with a service-oriented mindset
- Able to prioritise and stay calm in a fast-paced startup environment
Even better if
- Experience in a startup, scale-up, or scientific/regulated environment
- Pharma/med device (13485/GxP) experience
- Experience of Intune MAMWE and Entra Conditional Access
- Automation skills - especially PowerShell for administering O365/Entra
- Exposure to security frameworks or compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GxP)
- Experience supporting lab or research teams
- IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft, Apple)
