DevOps Engineer (Mid-Senior)

You'll take ownership of our infrastructure and deployment processes, supporting the migration to cloud-based systems and ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability across our platform., * Lead and support migration to cloud infrastructure

• Manage and optimise Linux-based environments
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (Ansible)
• Oversee database performance, scaling, and maintenance
• Monitor system health including:
• application performance
• queues and background workers
• scheduled jobs (cron)
• Improve system reliability, uptime, and deployment processes
• Work closely with the development team to improve system efficiency and response times
• Collaborate with developers to streamline releases and environments, We maintain a flexible, open-minded engineering culture where individuals are trusted to make decisions and improve systems. You'll have the opportunity to influence infrastructure direction and implement best practices as we scale.

• 5+ years experience in a DevOps / infrastructure role
• Strong Linux administration
• Experience with Docker and containerised environments
• Solid database administration (performance, scaling, backups)
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Strong automation/configuration management (Ansible preferred)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
• Comfortable working across multiple systems and environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with high availability and failover strategies
• Infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana)
• Exposure to Kubernetes or orchestration tools
• Experience with VMware environments
• Scripting (Bash, Python)
• Experience with PHP / JavaScript environments

• £45,000 - £65,000 salary depending on experience
