Job description
We are seeking a skilled Senior IT Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our company's IT infrastructure and ensuring its smooth operation. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to lead IT projects effectively. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working within a demanding role where the balance of customer satisfaction and service delivery is critical.
Reporting to the Technical Director the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the support desk, which ensure all client requirements are fulfilled within agreed specifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide 3rd Line Support
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems
- Manage network infrastructure, including LAN, DNS, TCP/IP, and Firewalls
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users
- Administer Active Directory
- Monitoring own and support queue tickets to ensure they are dealt with in the timescale required
- Support the technical team
- Update all documentation as and when required in all platforms
- Carry out and manage the progress of delegated projects from implementation right through to end satisfaction
- Ensure data security and backup procedures are in place
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with company policies
- Participate in all relevant training provided where required
Requirements
Proven experience as an IT Engineer for 5+ years
- Previous management skills
- In-depth knowledge of Networking including DHCP, DNS, Vlans
- In-depth knowledge of O365 including SharePoint, conditional access, AD sync
- In-depth knowledge of working with Servers including Active Directory
- Strong understanding of customer service principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant Microsoft 365 certification
Driving license required
