Owing to our continued growth and trusted reputation, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Defence and Security Consultant to join our Ministry of Defence team. This position is ideal for someone with extensive experience within the Defence and/or Security Sector and will support delivery, growth, and strategic development of the portfolio of services we deliver to our Defence sector clients.
You will work closely with government department customers and clients, data scientists, together with the rest of the Project Management team. The ability to communicate effectively and engage with stakeholders at all levels, civilian, military and consultants, is critical.
We have active contracts within the Defence sector, providing professional services support in Requirements Engineering, SATCOM and Requirements Tooling.
You will work closely with the Defence consultant lead and wider business to deliver high-quality consultancy services and support the strategic development of our Defence offering. The role combines delivery leadership, business development, and client-facing responsibilities, with the expectation of ownership for discrete workstreams.

- Deliver quality defence consultancy assignments, operating at all levels from Project Support to Leadership roles.
- Contribute to Defence sector business development activity, including opportunity shaping, bid support, and client engagement.

Requirements
- Currently hold Security Checked (SC) with willingness to be DV cleared.
- Demonstrable and high-level domain experience working in the Defence sector (typically 5+ years).
- Have a comprehensive understanding of requirement elicitation and management and/or broader systems engineering and architecture experience within a procurement context as well as defence equipment and capability delivery methodologies. This experience may have been gained as a Civil Servant, Veteran, Defence industry or Consultancy.
- Strong understanding of Defence environments and lines of development, clients and ways of working.
- Have delivery experience within Defence Programmes, e.g. Capability Acquisition, integration and measurement, through-life management, Research & Development, Digital Transformation, Capability planning/strategy, or In-Service support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through high-quality deliverables and reports.
- Strong client-centred stakeholder management, with experience delivering solutions to a wide range of clients. Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to client sites (UK) as required.
- Comfortable inviting challenge and involving others in decision-making.
- Ability to identify and address capability gaps to support current and future work.
- Ability to motivate and collaborate within a wide range of personality types and situations., * Experience in Project Management within Defence & Security and/or other Government Departments, particularly in technology delivery and digital transformation.
- Evidence of contributing to bid-writing activities for government-based contracts and opportunities.
- Experience of wargaming and/or experimentation within the Defence and/or Security scenarios.
- Recognised Project Management qualification at Practitioner level or above.
