DevOps Engineer
Are you someone who enjoys keeping critical systems running smoothly while continuously improving how they work? Do you like balancing hands-on technical problem solving with structured ways of working in secure, high-impact environments? You'll be joining a collaborative DevOps team supporting systems that really matter, where reliability, security and service quality are at the heart of everything we do.
In this role, you'll work across both business-as-usual support and project activity, helping to ensure platforms remain stable, resilient and fit for purpose. You'll be trusted to take ownership of incidents, proactively monitor system health and act as a key point of contact for Elastic-related services. You'll be supported by experienced colleagues, encouraged to share knowledge, and given the space to develop your skills while working within well-established ITIL-based service management processes. This is an office-based role and can be based in London, Gloucestershire, Manchester or North Yorkshire.
What you'll be doing:
- Investigating, triaging and resolving incidents and stories efficiently and promptly.
- Proactively monitoring and maintaining system health to ensure high service availability.
- Acting as a focal point for Elastic-related problems, issues, changes and queries.
- Working across a mixture of business-as-usual and project-based activities.
- Following ITIL-based service management processes in a disciplined and structured way.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with customers and third-party suppliers.
What you'll bring:
- Experience working with virtualised environments, including containerisation and Kubernetes.
- Practical knowledge of infrastructure as code approaches.
- Experience using scripting and automation to support system reliability and efficiency.
- Working knowledge of computer networking concepts, including routing, firewalls and proxies.
- Experience administering and supporting Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of digital certificates, authentication methods and certificate authority services.
It would be great if you had:
- Experience with Kibana, Elasticsearch and Elastic Cloud Enterprise.
- Knowledge of Elastic products, including ECE.
- Experience with Ansible and Bash scripting.
- Experience using Terraform.
- Knowledge of PKI.
- Awareness of Apache NiFi.
If you're interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we're looking for, please do apply, we'd love to hear from you!
