Job description
- Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Perform Supplier Source Inspection of Final Article
- Conduct internal audits and prepare detailed audit reports, support customer and regulatory audits.
- Develop inspection plans, control plans, and quality metrics.
- Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards for electronic assemblies.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with department management to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex issues using Fishbone and 5-Whys, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Skilled in working with department management and cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree Engineering and minimum 9 years prior relevant experience. Graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years prior related experience.
- Minimum 7+ years in aerospace quality engineering.
- ASQ CQE certification preferred; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt a plus.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001.
- Proficiency in quality tools (FMEA, SPC, PPAP, MSA).
- Excellent communications skills, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
