Job description

This position is directly and/or in tandem with other team members, responsible for the installation, implementation, administration and support of the systems and network infrastructure equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, load-balancers and sans. This position also provides support for Helpdesk, Windows/Linux servers, desktop PC's, phone systems, vm systems, O365 and all related hardware and software of our family of companies including remote and global work sites., ? Resolves trouble tickets, monitors systems, installs patches, writes and/or modifies script, backup and restore processes and security procedures ? Installs, implements, maintains and supports internal and external networks, including contributing to the design of network architecture and integration ? Installs, implements, maintains and supports distributed and centralized hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, and wiring ? Safeguards network security and business continuity activities by adhering to IT best practices ? Creates and updates system and network documentation ? Evaluates and implements new technologies, provides input and makes recommendations for system enhancements ? Analyzes data for application environment(s) for troubleshooting purposes ? Develops spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to support documentation needs ? Troubleshoots procedures, system standards, and departmental documentation ? Researches, assesses, purchases hardware and tracks technology hardware, software, licenses, and contracts ? Researches and recommends cost-effective, innovative, and automated approaches, as possible, for system administration tasks ? Provides on-call emergency after hours support on a rotating basis

Requirements

? Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field and 3-4 years strong hands-on professional experience on Windows and Linux-based systems, hardware, software and applications or equivalent combination of education and experience ? Ability to perform technical analysis, technical support and troubleshooting ? Background in networking, network architecture, TCP/IP, routing, DNS and security ? Ability to work directly with hardware and software vendors to diagnose, implement and support their products with Cisco/Aruba router and switch experience ? SAN administration experience required, DellEMC SAN preferred ? Certifications in CompTIA A+/Network+/Linux+, M365 MDAA, MC AZ-800/801 and CCNP preferred ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other technical staff and clients ? Excellent attention to detail, decision-making, prioritization and self-managing skills ? Ability to create documentation of completed work ? Ability to work well in a small team environment ? Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously ? Availability for possible after hours and weekend work
