Job description
The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for architecting, managing, and supporting USAD hybrid IT infrastructure, including on-premises VMware virtualization platforms and Microsoft 365 cloud services. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance across server, storage, and cloud environments while contributing to lifecycle planning, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Systems Engineer collaborates closely with IT Operations, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure technology solutions., Server Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain virtual and physical server infrastructure.
- Oversee performance tuning, capacity planning, upgrades, and lifecycle management of the virtual infrastructure.
- Manage Windows Server environments, including AD DS, DNS, and Group Policy.
- Administer enterprise storage platforms and SAN/NAS systems supporting VMware workloads.
- Support backup and disaster recovery solutions; participate in BC/DR testing.
- Monitor infrastructure health and respond to incidents to minimize downtime.
Microsoft 365 and Azure Cloud Administration:
- Manage core Microsoft 365 services: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Intune.
- Configure and support Azure AD identity services, conditional access, MFA, SSO, and role-based administration.
- Oversee compliance, security, and data governance features.
- Administer endpoint management via Intune, including device configuration, patching, and policy enforcement.
- Troubleshoot mail flow, Teams performance, SharePoint permissions, authentication, and integration issues.
Operational Support:
- Respond to escalations, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure root-cause analysis for recurring problems.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support.
- Work with vendors for hardware/software support, licensing, and issue resolution.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
- Support audit activities and ensure compliance with company security policies.
- Maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to detect anomalies and performance issues.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise server environments.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and endpoint management.
- Expertise in Windows Server administration, networking fundamentals, and PowerShell automation.
- Experience with backup platforms and enterprise storage systems.
- Strong understanding of security principles, identity management, and cloud governance.
