Job description
The Cross Segment Technology Associate Vice President is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing enterprise-wide architecture solutions, guiding technology strategy and development, and driving automation and optimization initiatives across multiple business segments. This position ensures that technology solutions align with organizational goals, industry standards, and best practices, fostering innovation, operational efficiency, and scalable growth., * Own and evolve the enterprise solution architecture across CenterWell segments, defining reference architectures, integration patterns, and architectural guardrails that ensure scalability, resiliency, security, and regulatory compliance across cloud, data, and application platforms.
- Lead and remain hands-on with senior architects and engineers , driving architectural decisions through proof-of-concept development, code reviews, and technical deep dives-balancing strategic direction with practical, executable design.
- Define and execute a modern technology strategy spanning cloud-native platforms, APIs, data architecture, and engineering practices that directly enable business growth, operational efficiency, and faster time-to-market.
- Establish and scale developer experience (DevEx) and engineering enablement , including CI/CD pipelines, platform tooling, coding standards, reusable services, and DevSecOps practices to improve developer productivity, quality, and consistency across segments.
- Lead automation and optimization initiatives , leveraging AI/ML, agentic workflows, RPA, and low-code/no-code platforms to reduce manual effort, streamline operations, and measurably improve business outcomes.
- Partner closely with business, product, and segment CIO leaders to identify high-impact opportunities for technology-driven transformation, translating complex business problems into scalable technical solutions.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams of architects, platform engineers, and automation specialists, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and learning.
- Drive cross-segment alignment and reuse , ensuring consistent architectural patterns, shared platforms, and common engineering practices that reduce fragmentation and accelerate delivery across CenterWell.
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess proven delivery experience, technical expertise across multiple platforms, and will have senior level leadership experience in a complex corporate environment. He/she will be a "disrupter" with a record of driving meaningful change and collaborating effectively with a wide range of internal and external business partners to design and execute strategic initiatives. Healthcare industry experience is a plus., * Exceptional leadership skills, marked by poise, positive influence, and the ability to drive change.

- Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, software development, and automation.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional technology teams.
- Strong knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale transformation initiatives and deliver measurable outcomes.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
Benefits & conditions
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$189,400 - $260,500 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
