Job description

Every part of our company relies on solid IT and effective networking - day-to-day factory operations, supply chain operations, resource scheduling, hardware data integrations, quality processes, and more.

In this role, you will be a critical member of a complex IT organization responsible for deploying, maintaining, and optimizing critical IT platforms and systems.

You will be challenged to think creatively and solve complex software and networking integration problems. You will work cross functionally with production experts, software engineers, and machining specialists to develop novel solutions working toward fully automated factories.

What You'll Do

  • Support and maintain physical systems across factory environments, including devices embedded inside machining equipment

  • Serve as the first line of IT support for employees, delivering fast and high-quality assistance

  • Administer and maintain core services such as Active Directory, Okta, Microsoft 365, Jira, and additional enterprise platforms

  • Configure, deploy, and manage hardware across the organization (laptops, servers, machinery-integrated devices, and mobile equipment)

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues, escalating to vendors when needed to resolve complex problems

  • Monitor and maintain network availability, reliability, and performance to meet operational demands

  • Administer and support a mixed operating system environment

  • Collaborate with Information Security, DevOps, and other technical teams to implement IT practices and standards that scale with organizational growth

  • Maintain accurate inventory and lifecycle tracking for all IT assets

Requirements

  • Skilled at administering and maintaining platforms such as Okta, Microsoft, Atlassian, Filecloud, etc.

  • Experienced working with cloud and Software-as-a-Service providers

  • Adept at working across multiple operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux)

  • Experienced with Microsoft domain controllers, Active Directory, and Azure administration

  • Are familiar with IAC using GitOps, Terraform, and Ansible.

  • Comfortable handling Windows laptop/desktop and MacOS laptop helpdesk support

  • Familiar with remote cloud infrastructure administration such as AWS, Azure

  • Capable of working collaboratively with the infrastructure team to support SRE, DevOps, DBA, InfoSec, and more

  • Capable of creating documentation to illustrate designs and help new and existing hires understand how our networks, platforms, and services work

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Are self-motivated and eager to get hands-on and tackle challenges independently while working collaboratively toward identified objectives

  • Work with a platform mentality -- driven to find the right architecture and plan up front and solve problems with the long term in mind

  • Take responsibility and ownership finding solutions no matter what

  • Are excited to work in a fast-paced environment with high-stakes and quick iteration cycles

  • Are a highly effective communicator when speaking or writing, especially when presenting technical information

  • Can work from our Arizona factory (Mesa)

What Will Set You Apart

  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, VPN, and intrusion detection/prevention systems

  • Proficient with Networking switches (Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWall, or similar)

  • Able to build and maintain networks across multiple factory locations

  • Expertise in managing compliance and regulatory conformances (CMMC, NIST 800-171), To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
