See www.sss.gov., * Performs the selection, configuration, generation, implementation, and support for all network software supporting the SSA Wide Area.

• Conducts analysis, simulations, benchmarks, and feasibility studies relative to the latest software developments in the field, revisions to existing software systems, and proposed CO and remote reconfigurations.
• Develops agency guidelines on the use of network features. Participates in the development of recommendations and performance specifications of major network system acquisitions; conducts studies relating to project network capabilities for new acquisitions.
• Collaborates with supervisors and technical experts within OSOHE and other segments of systems to negotiate and coordinate network related changes impacting other organizations

Do you have experience in Technical troubleshooting support?, Applicants must qualify for the series and grade of the posted position. Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. Applicants for the GS-14 position must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled, that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such IT-related experience must include: skill in network planning, design, implementation and troubleshooting in a data center environment utilizing redundant hardware and failover capabilities. including planning and designing Data Center network infrastructures that supports several thousand users, troubleshooting complex network outages that affect users in a large campus, cloud, or Data Center environment., This job does not have an education qualification requirement., INTERAGENCY CAREER TRANSITION ASSISTANCE PLAN (ICTAP): ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority for competitive service vacancies.
