As a Data Engineer I, you will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. You will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver insights. This role is ideal for a professional with 1+ years of experience who is eager to develop their expertise in modern data engineering tools and platforms, including Azure, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and CI/CD frameworks. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: · Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient ETL/ELT processes to support analytics and AI initiatives utilizing tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse and Databricks. · Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models for structured and unstructured datasets to ensure data integrity and accessibility. · Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data pipelines and query performance to ensure reliability and scalability. · Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with technical teams to implement solutions and work with non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements. · Data Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security through validation and monitoring frameworks. As well as identifying, diagnosing and resolving data-related issues promptly. · Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data engineering processes, workflows, and systems. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30 days/quarter.
