As a Data Engineer I, you will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. You will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver insights. This role is ideal for a professional with 1+ years of experience who is eager to develop their expertise in modern data engineering tools and platforms, including Azure, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and CI/CD frameworks. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: · Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient ETL/ELT processes to support analytics and AI initiatives utilizing tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse and Databricks. · Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models for structured and unstructured datasets to ensure data integrity and accessibility. · Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data pipelines and query performance to ensure reliability and scalability. · Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with technical teams to implement solutions and work with non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements. · Data Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security through validation and monitoring frameworks. As well as identifying, diagnosing and resolving data-related issues promptly. · Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data engineering processes, workflows, and systems. Join Relias, the company changing lives throughout the world by helping healthcare organizations improve their clinical and financial outcomes!, o Proficiency in Azure tools and services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks). o Strong programming skills in Python, SQL or Spark SQL. o Familiarity with data lake and medallion architectures. o Experience with source control tools such as Git and CI/CD pipelines. o Knowledge of distributed systems and data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark). o Familiarity with API authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth, API keys) and handling data in various formats like JSON and XML. · Analytical Skills: o Strong ability to analyze and transform complex data into actionable insights. o Experience in performance tuning and debugging data workflows. · Collaboration & Communication: o Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. o Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. · Problem-Solving: o Proactive approach to troubleshooting and solving data-related issues. · Adaptability: o Eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies in the data engineering domain. · 1+ years of relevant work experience in Data Engineering, Relias values collaboration and wants to ensure that our team members have opportunities to work with their teams regularly for professional development opportunities. Our flexible hybrid work environment requires that you live in the state of North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our office (~1-hour commute). You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30 days/quarter.
