We are collaborating with companies in Fremont seeking experienced IT Systems Administrators., * Manage and maintain critical IT infrastructure supporting manufacturing operations, including servers, networks, and virtualization.
- Administer and support shop floor systems such as MES, SCADA, HMI, and industrial IoT devices.
- Ensure high availability and performance of production-critical applications and data systems.
- Implement and manage robust data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions for all IT and OT systems.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolution to minimize production downtime.
- Enforce cybersecurity policies and best practices across IT and operational technology (OT) environments.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on new technology implementations and system upgrades., Systems Administrator, IT Systems Administrator, Server Administrator, Network Administrator, Infrastructure Administrator, IT Administrator, Systems Engineer, IT Operations Engineer, SysAdmin
Requirements
- Proven experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualized environments (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with IT/OT convergence and supporting manufacturing-specific applications (e.g., MES, SCADA).
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs) and cybersecurity best practices.
- Scripting proficiency (e.g., PowerShell) for system automation and management.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues quickly and ensure high system availability in a production setting.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Operational Technology (OT) environments (SCADA, MES, PLCs) and IT/OT integration.
- Familiarity with manufacturing-specific ERP or MES systems (e.g., SAP, Infor, Epicor).
- Knowledge of industrial networking protocols and ruggedized hardware used in manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance relevant to manufacturing (e.g., GxP, ISO standards).
- Prior experience supporting IT systems directly on the manufacturing shop floor.
