Job description
Our client seeks a BI Reporting Engineer to build analytical reports and advanced visualizations while supporting core BI platforms. The role focuses on SAP BusinessObjects with strong SQL and Snowflake experience, semantic layer design, and performance tuning. You will partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable reporting solutions and align implementations with standards, controls, and the cloud journey., * Design and develop impactful BI visualizations and analytical reports.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement Business Intelligence solutions aligned with the organization's cloud strategy.
- Build and maintain semantic layers for consumption across reporting tools, with emphasis on SAP BusinessObjects Universe.
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver reporting and analytics solutions that meet business needs.
- Ensure alignment to standards and controls, including data quality, problem management, and change management.
- Optimize and tune SQL queries to improve performance on Snowflake.
- Support core BI platforms and participate in scheduling and on-call rotations as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a BI reporting or analytics engineering role.
- 5 years of experience building semantic layers using SAP BusinessObjects Universe or similar tools.
- 3 years of experience building visualizations using tools such as BusinessObjects or Tableau.
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with Snowflake.
- Hands-on SQL query optimization and tuning experience.
- Knowledge of designing data structures suitable for analytics and visualization.
- Experience with scheduling tools and willingness to participate in weekend on-call rotation.
- Experience in Agile methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum (preferred).
- Experience in data transformation using Python or Informatica (preferred).
- Understanding of star schema concepts and data modeling (preferred).
- Tableau experience (preferred).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technology field.

Rate: $55.00 to $63.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
