Job description

As a Software Engineer on the POS Support team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our point-of-sale systems across all store locations. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement software updates, and proactively monitoring system performance to identify areas for improvement. You will also be responsible for documenting solutions, providing technical guidance to end-users, and participating in the testing and deployment of new features. Additionally, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to address integration challenges, maintain compliance with security standards, and contribute to ongoing process enhancements. Your Impact

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues reported by store associates or customers using POS systems
  • Monitor POS system performance and proactively identify potential problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement software updates and patches
  • Develop and maintain documentation for POS software processes and troubleshooting steps
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of new POS hardware and software
  • Analyze logs and error reports to diagnose and fix bugs in the POS application
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and store personnel
  • Participate in testing and quality assurance for new POS features or updates

Requirements

Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience

  • 1+ years of software engineering experience
  • 1+ years of experience troubleshooting and resolving software issues in an enterprise environment
  • 1+ years of experience deploying and configuring hardware and software
  • 1+ years of experience analyzing logs and error reports to diagnose and fix bugs
  • 1+ years of experience analyzing and creating complex SQL statements and stored procedures with SQL Server
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC)
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerShell or similar scripting language, * 3+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3 years' experience developing and supporting enterprise applications
  • Knowledge of infrastructure related systems client/server, workstations, servers, networks, and database
  • Experience supporting retail applications
  • Knowledge of PCI and HIPAA regulations
  • Experience with source control (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, TFS)
  • Ability to work concurrently on multiple assignments with similar deadlines

Benefits & conditions

Frequency of Pay Monthly Minimum Base Pay 6,795 Maximum Base Pay 10,195 Potential Annual Base Pay with Bonus 88,335 - 132,535

Year End Bonus

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
