Software Quality Engineer

First three months:

· Gain basic understanding of EVault product suite with focus on VMware and Hyper-V support

· Get familiar with the existing Testing environment, automation capabilities, tools, and processes

· Review existing test plans ,test coverage matrix, test cases and the automated test suits as part of the project transition to the team in Sunnyvale

· Get a good understanding of the development and testing processes, procedures and standards

· Review Product requirements , evaluate existing testing capabilities and provide technical leadership for effective testing

· Provide local QA leadership and work close with local and remote management to ensure that high quality standards are maintained

Three to nine months:

· Manage the development and execution of test plans for the next VMware /Hyper-V agent , based on agreed test criteria and compliance requirements

· Manage the system/regression/performance testing and certify the quality of production releases

· Keep a high level of Test Automation for a fast and efficient release cycle

· Participate in project sprint planning, execution, testing and releases on Agile methodology

· Use your own initiative to increase velocity and quality

Beyond nine months:

Keep up to date with the latest technologies especially in the VMware field - certification on VMware is recommended

Contribute to ongoing improvement efforts to increase productivity, efficiency and overall quality of the products

Provide technical guidance for peers

We have an immediate opening for a Senior / Principal Software Quality Engineer with strong technical and communication skills, with passion for building high-quality test automation frameworks and work side by side with core developers and the other members of QA team., · Expert in VMware virtualization (VMware ESX Server , 6.)

· Good experience with Windows (Hyper-V) platforms with administrative workloads

· Software development skills with knowledge of object oriented design and programming

· C# (or similar languages like C++ or Java) and PowerShell/PhP scripting experience

· Hands-on network/system administration experience ideally in a software development environment

· Excellent knowledge in SAN, CSV, iSCSI, fibre channel

· In-depth understanding of software development and testing methodologies

· Proficient in developing effective testing plans and test cases

· Excellent communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop good working relationships with others, detailed-oriented
