Job description

The selected consultant will support implementation of cloud-native solutions to enhance business processes, focusing on:

REST API and asynchronous event/message-based integrations
Standardization of design and engineering patterns
Web application development
Implementation of automated DevOps processes (testing, security scans, deployment, etc.)
Maturing SDLC and DevOps practices and automation, * Participate in all Agile ceremonies:

Daily Stand-ups
Backlog Refinement
Sprint Reviews/Demos
Sprint Retrospectives

Contribute to development lifecycle:

Solution design, development, testing, and code reviews

Ensure all deliverables meet acceptance criteria and the team's Definition of Done
Follow DevOps principles ensuring end-to-end quality and support
Collaborate with development, architecture, and business stakeholders to design and enhance processes and solutions, Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor. The contractor must have their own equipment. Access to a virtual desktop set up (software) will be provided by Lumen's client, allowing the user access to the required systems and technology.

Requirements

5+ years of application development using SOLID Object-Oriented Design principles
5+ years of Java Web Development (Spring Boot, Maven, JUnit)
5+ years of experience developing containerized applications (Docker)
5+ years of experience using Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipeline, backlog management, etc.)
Experience with RESTful API design and development
Knowledge of event-driven architectures
Experience working in an Agile (Scrum or Kanban) environment
Proficiency with Git and branching strategies (GitFlow)
Strong communication and teamwork skills, * Cloud Development: Azure (preferred) or AWS

Integration services (Azure API Management, AWS API Gateway, Azure EventGrid, etc.)
Serverless technologies (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, Container Apps, AWS Fargate)
Managed databases (Azure SQL Managed Instance, AWS RDS)

Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Jira
Experience with SAP, SAP S/4HANA, Ivalua, or other ERP systems, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related technical field and at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR 5+ years of equivalent professional experience in application development and modification.
Preferred:
