Senior Software Development Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer on Zoom's Calendar & Scheduler team, you'll build and scale critical backend systems that power scheduling experiences used globally. You will have opportunities to design across the stack - from APIs to distributed cloud services - ensuring reliability, scalability, and a seamless customer experience., * Designing and implementing high-performance backend features in C/C++ to support our scheduling platform.

• Building and maintaining scalable APIs that power web-based calendar and scheduling workflows.
• Collaborating across engineering, product, and design teams to deliver solutions that meet evolving customer needs.
• Analyzing and improving system performance, proactively identifying bottlenecks and ensuring reliability at scale.
• Contributing to team practices by sharing expertise, mentoring peers, and supporting an inclusive, collaborative culture.

• Have BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Have 5+ years of industry experience
• Have great proficiency in C/C++, with a track record of building performant, robust applications.
• Have experience developing large-scale, distributed backend systems.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Linux development.
• Have familiarity with security best practices for backend systems.
• Have experience with Nginx or Apache or APISix or Kubernetes.

Maximum: $228,700.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
