Job description
As the Systems Administrator, the individual will manage Active Directory accounts and groups for garrison users as well as Maintain Windows Server 2016 environments. In this role, the Systems Administrator will ensure server and client computers meet Information Assurance requirements as well as provide file share, print, media, and dedicated server services. In addition, the Systems Administrator will assist technicians with administrative computer issue, turn-in, and support tasks., * Serve as one of two SMEs on all system administrator matters from reports on emerging technology to managing every detail of organizational functions
- Perform administrative tasks through consoles and scripted interfaces
- Utilize SCCM to create task sequences as needed to support various requirements.
- Create, adhere to, and enforce organizational standards to streamline processes
- Providing remote support through RDC and administrative shares
- File and print services including provisioning and access control
- Use skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of appropriate industry practices
- Resolution of a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways and work under only general limited direction to determine and develop approaches to solutions
- Adhere to and enforce all relevant Army network policies and procedures.
- produce Weekly Activity Report to the program manager
- Management of software installations and engineering efforts
- Update and create SharePoint pages for tracking and reporting purposes
- Create automation processes to streamline service, auditing, and monitoring
- Collect, format, and report organizational metrics to the Program Manager
- Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in an IT Discipline or Equivalent experience
- Must have and maintain a Secret personnel clearance
- Security + Certification
- 4+ years hands on SA training/experience
- Previous DoD experience
- Has good writing, oral, and presentations skills
- Expert technical knowledge of computing and networking systems, equipment, equipment integration, operation, compatibility, troubleshooting techniques, procedures and testing
- extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of Windows Server operating systems, from installation and configuration; to complex troubleshooting and maintenance tasks to ensure service availability, * Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience
- Familiarity with network equipment and technologies
- 2+ years working with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, SCCM, Command Prompt / Powershell
