Job description
The AI Solutions Catalyst sits at the intersection of business strategy, change management, and hands-on technical implementation. This is not a pure technologist role, nor a pure consultant role - it's a hybrid built for someone who can walk into a skeptical business team, understand their real problems, translate those problems into AI-powered solutions, and then build them. You will be the bridge between what AI can do and what the business needs done., * Engage with business stakeholders across departments to uncover pain points, inefficiencies, and unmet needs through structured interviews, process mapping, and observation
- Translate operational challenges into clear AI opportunity statements with defined success criteria
- Assess feasibility, ROI potential, and organizational readiness for proposed AI solutions
- Maintain a pipeline of AI use cases, prioritized by impact and complexity
Advocacy & Change Enablement
- Act as an internal evangelist - proactively surfacing AI opportunities to teams who may not know what's possible or may be resistant to change
- Develop and deliver tailored education sessions, demos, and workshops that meet people where they are, from curious beginners to skeptical operators
- Build trust with non-technical stakeholders by demystifying AI and framing it in terms of their goals, not the technology
- Champion responsible and practical AI adoption, setting realistic expectations and highlighting limitations as openly as capabilities
Implementation & Technical Execution
- Take solutions from concept through to working implementation - not just advising, but building
- Work hands-on with LLM APIs (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI), agent frameworks, and automation tools to develop functional prototypes and production-ready solutions
- Design and deploy AI agents, workflows, and integrations that connect to existing business systems and data sources
- Collaborate within IT on architecture, security, and scalability
- Document implementations clearly so solutions can be maintained and extended
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing AI or automation solutions in a business context
- Demonstrable experience working directly with LLM APIs and building AI-powered tools or agents
- Background in a business-facing role - consulting, business analysis, solutions architecture, or similar
- Experience navigating organizational change and working with resistant or low-tech-literacy stakeholders
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with at least one programming language (Python or .Net preferred)
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and prompt engineering
- Familiarity with agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI, or equivalent)
- Comfort with REST APIs, webhooks, and integrating systems via no-code/low-code tools (e.g., PowerAutomate, Zapier, n8n) as well as custom code
- Understanding of data handling and databases
Soft Skills & Mindset:
- Exceptional communication skills - equally comfortable presenting to a CFO and pairing with a developer
- Strong consultative listening skills; able to identify the real problem beneath the stated one
- Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity; can structure their own work without a clear roadmap
- Persuasive but empathetic - can advocate for change without alienating those who aren't ready for it
- Bias toward action and experimentation; comfortable with iteration
Benefits & conditions
- A portfolio of implemented AI solutions with measurable business impact
- Stakeholders across the organization proactively reaching out with new AI ideas
- Business teams who were once skeptical becoming advocates themselves
- Reduced time from "idea" to "working solution
What This Role is NOT:
- A pure prompt engineer or AI researcher
- An IT project manager who coordinates others but doesn't build
- A vendor evaluator who assembles comparison spreadsheets
- A trainer who only runs workshops without solving real problems
What You'll Get:
- Competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and paid time off.
- Salary range $120,000.00 to $200,000.00
