Job description
- Support the design, development, and/or utilization of digital simulation software in advanced technical computing environments.
- Contribute to trade studies to assess system performance of weapons against a variety of threats in a variety of kill chain scenarios.
- Contribute your knowledge of performance engineering practices, and procedures, to evaluate work across a wide range of intriguing computational problems to answer questions such as: what should be the next system improvement; or what is the effectivity of the missile against a single or multiple threats; or what counter measures should be considered to increase effectivity and/or survivability and other operational performance related questions.
- Collaborate in a team environment, receiving input from the program, external customers, or team experts, and work on varied projects, as you determine, develop, and implement analytic approaches that will generate the supporting data to inform programmatic decisions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of model-based solutions to power decision support systems, and participate in validation and testing models, software components and/or integrated systems.
- Occasional travel as needed to support the customer/ Program. (<10% travel)
Requirements
Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, * Bachelors degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- This position requires 12 months or less relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, or C++
- Experience in at least two of the following:
- Systems engineering life cycle,
- Software development and/or object-oriented design using C/C++ and/or Java
- Artificial Intelligence (AI),
- Machine Learning (ML) and/or Surrogate Modeling,
- Descriptive or Inferential Statistics, or Six Sigma,
- Operations Research
- Modeling and Simulation, * Advanced Degree in one of the following majors: Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Operations Research, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Active Top Secret DoD clearance.
- Military Experience
- Experience with AFSIM or other Simulation Modeling development, and/or analysis.
- Experience conducting analyses and studies, including how to define and execute a study.
- Strong written and verbal communication with peers, management, IT support, and customers
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
