Job description
Administer the Information Security Program protecting the enterprise from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to enterprise mission interests, national defense or national security.
- Direct the personnel security program to ensure secure accomplishment of the enterprise's missions, goals and objectives through proactive application of security principles, policies, and practices.
- Provide enterprise and subordinate organizations worldwide with authoritative guidance on aspects concerning physical security programs for the protection of classified national security information, both Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and collateral information.
- Manage the Industrial Security Program.
Requirements
at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
Ideal Candidate: Demonstrate experience in physical security with a focus on building Intelligence Community Directive (ICD)-705 compliant facilities. Candidate has experience working in a Special Security Office with technical background supporting requests for SCIFs/SAPFs, review and processing of Construction Security Plans, Modification Security plans, Fixed Facility Checklists, Standard Operating Procedures, and Emergency Action Plans.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Security Administration Series 0080, under Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions for this series.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: demonstration of the knowledge of concepts, principles and practices in security administration and intelligence, and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments, and to guide the work of other specialists or comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures. Serves as the authoritative source for all information protection disciplines. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Knowledge of a wide range of advanced concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices involved in security.
- Knowledge of security program interrelationships to coordinate the objectives and plans of two or more specialized programs to support and promote information sharing and strategies.
- Skill to interpret a variety of security program laws, directives, regulations, and guidance to assist subordinate organizations in establishing and operating internal security programs.
- Skill in the use of analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review, evaluate, and apply several alternatives according to the security requirements for highly specific situations, availability of materials, relationships with other protective programs, and cost/benefit considerations.
- Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.

Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.

Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification, Security Asset Protection Professional Certification, and Physical Security Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
