Reporting to the Director, Client Implementation, the CRM Data Migration & Integration Specialist serves as the functional and technical bridge between client source systems and our CRM/data warehouse environment.
This role is responsible for analyzing legacy CRM data, defining source-to-target mapping logic, and providing detailed ingestion instructions to Data Engineers. While this position does not write production ingestion queries, it must possess strong SQL skills to independently analyze incoming datasets and validate transformation requirements.
The Specialist partners directly with clients and internal account teams to document mapping decisions, explain data architecture, and ensure a clear understanding of how legacy fundraising data translates into the new system.
Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate data analysis, mapping documentation, and validation workflows is highly desired.
This role requires a hybrid schedule based out of our Peabody, MA office. US-Remote may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

- Develop comprehensive Source-to-Target mapping documentation outlining field-level transformations, business rules, and dependencies.
- Identify data normalization, deduplication, and restructuring requirements prior to ingestion.
- Translate fundraising-specific constructs (gifts, pledges, soft credits, households, memberships, campaigns) into our CRM and/or data warehouse schema.
Engineering Collaboration
- Provide detailed, logic-driven ingestion specifications to Data Engineers.
- Clearly articulate transformation rules, calculated fields, and reconciliation requirements.
- Partner with engineering during QA cycles to validate outcomes against source system totals and business logic.
- Support troubleshooting by re-analyzing source data and refining mapping logic as needed.
Data Validation & Reconciliation
- Perform SQL-based validation of incoming and post-load data.
- Conduct financial reconciliation between source systems and target CRM/data warehouse.
- Identify inconsistencies such as duplicate donors, mismatched household relationships, or incorrect soft-credit allocations.
- Document data assumptions, edge cases, and final mapping decisions.
Client-Facing Communication & Enablement
- Present mapping documentation and migration outcomes to clients in a clear, structured manner.
- Lead "Data Mapping Reviews" to ensure client sign-off on transformation logic.
- Provide written and verbal guidance to internal account teams on how migrated data should be interpreted and used.
- Support onboarding efforts beyond data migration, as needed, including workflow clarification and reporting structure alignment.
AI-Enhanced Workflow Optimization
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate:
- Data profiling and anomaly detection
- Mapping documentation creation
- Transformation rule validation
- QA comparison analysis
- Continuously recommend process improvements using AI-assisted approaches.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, * 3+ years of experience in CRM data migration, data integration, or source-to-target mapping.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation (read/write queries for analysis; not required to build production ingestion code).
- Experience working with CRM systems such as:
- Salesforce NPSP
- Blackbaud CRM
- Raiser's Edge
- Luminate
- Experience working with relational data structures and understanding schema relationships.
