Job description
Lead technical teams as a Principal Mainframe Engineer, leveraging deep expertise in FIS Core Banking Systems and mainframe technologies to deliver high-impact solutions. Drive project lifecycles, incident resolution, and continuous improvements in a dynamic, collaborative environment., Direct and oversee technical teams throughout full project lifecycles. Utilize expert-level knowledge of FIS Core Banking Systems (RM, GN, IM, AM, SC) for effective system management. Develop and implement COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL solutions following SDLC methodology. Analyze and resolve incidents with a proactive ownership approach. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project portfolios. Facilitate clear communication between technical teams and business stakeholders. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and peer reviews for team deliverables.
Requirements
Extensive knowledge of FIS Core Banking Systems (RM, GN, IM, AM, SC). Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, CICS, and JCL. Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving issues in relevant mainframe technologies. Ability to shift priorities quickly based on evolving business needs. Strong collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders. Excellent presentation skills for communicating findings and analyses clearly and concisely. Superior detail orientation and organizational abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience in hybrid/agile environments and stakeholder management. Familiarity with proactive incident management and SDLC best practices. Flexible work from home options available.
